Seeing as there was a little buzz for this one at Comic Con, I thought we’d share the trailer for Max Payne with you. The film, based on the video game of the same name, stars Mark Wahlberg in the title role as a cop out for revenge after the murder of his family. Mila Kunis, Beau Bridges, Ludacris, and Chris O’Donnell also star. The film is set to open on October 17th.

The abduction of one of their own and arrival of a psychic (Billy Connolly) on the scene leads Agent-in-Charge Dakota Whitney (Amanda Peet) to ask for the help of a former member of the bereau with experience in the paranormal.
Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson), now a brain surgeon, is asked to bring in her former partner from the wilderness. Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) is living like a hermit cutting clippings of unexplained activity out of newspapers. Reluctant at first, he agrees under the condition Scully comes with him.
Fans of the show should feel right at home here in terms of tone, mood, and storytelling. Those unfamiliar with the mythology of the show should still able to follow the events, though you may miss some of the layers of the film, and specific moments added just for fans.

What is supposed to be a great Summer for comedy is finally starting to live up to its potential. Sure, we’ve been promised Pineapple Express and Tropic Thunder, but before we get to any of the desert we’ve had to put up with shitty vegetables like You Don’t Mess With the Zohan and Meet Dave. But finally, the light at the end of the tunnel begins to blind us with the third movie to come out of the Will Ferrell–Adam McKay partnership, the very funny Step Brothers.
After having lived leisurely at home with their parents for all of their forty years, man-children Brennan (Ferrell) and Dale (John C. Reilly)‘s lives are crashed into each other as their single parents marry each other and begin to force the responsibilities of adulthood on the boys, er, men.
