A cruise ship brings out the inventiveness of Phineas (Vincent Martella) and Ferb (David Errigo Jr.) who manage to lift the ship above the clouds blocking the view of the Tri-State Aurora. Doofenshmirtz (Dan Povenmire), using a shrinking ray to steal anything he wants, and Perry are also onboard leading to an amusing conflict at microsize when both are hit by Doofenshmirtz’ ray.

85 years after its release director Howard Hawks‘ classic screwball comedy is still something to behold. It’s rapid dialogue and wit were in part achieved by the director pushing his actors to be spontaneous on the fly leading to rampant improvisation and the film to go over time and over budget. That, along with sound mixing to further speed up the dialogue, resulted in stars Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell spitting barbs at each other non-stop for near the entire length of the film.

The death of Nora (Renate Reinsve) and Agnes’ (Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas) mother brings their estranged father (Stellan Skarsgård) back into their lives. A celebrated auteur filmmaker who chose his career over his family years before, Gustav brings with him a script for his first project in 15 years which is inspired by his family’s history. After his hopes to get his eldest daughter to star in the film fall through, Nora being a local stage and television actress, Gustav casts a young Hollywood actress (Elle Fanning) seeking her first serious role.
