Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - The Fourfold Trap

Divide and conquer is the theme of “The Fourfold Trap” as a fully-brainwashed Karai (Kelly Hu) leads the Shredder‘s (Kevin Michael Richardson) forces to separate and capture each of the Turtles. Placing them each in a specially-designed trap, Karai awaits the inevitable arrival of Splinter (Hoon Lee). The traps are a bit goofy, as well as deadly, furthering the episode’s (and show’s) theme of the Turtles being stronger when they work together which eventually leads to their escape.

Darth Vader #9

Darth Vader #9Given his recent actions Darth Vader finds himself responsible for helping to lead an investigation into a theft against the Empire that he helped plan. While outwardly supporting Imperial Inspector Thanoth‘s investigation of the destruction of an Imperial ship and the theft of a large stockpile of credits, Vader also swiftly hides his own tracks by doing whatever is necessary to distance himself from the series of events.

Given Thanoth’s prescence Vader’s plans to use the wealth to further his own goals are put on indefinite hold, however the storyline does put the Dark Lord of the Sith in an unusual situation which should be enjoyable to see play out.

Rookie Blue - 74 Epiphanies

The officers of 15 Division also gets some good news as the core group learns they will all be staying together (whether or not the show comes back for a Seventh Season).

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Downfall and Duel of Droids

R2-D2‘s importance both to Anakin (Matt Lanter) and the Republic is highlighted in this two-episode arc when Anakin’s trap for General Grievous (Matthew Wood) fails losing both his ship and his astromech droid. Given that R2 contains battle plans and strategies key to the entire sector it quickly becomes a race as to who can get their hands on the droid first. It also leaves the Rebel general vulnerable as his replacement droid turns out to be working for Grievous (something it takes everyone far too long to figure out) and continues to put the Jedi in harms way.

Batman - The Joker Goes to School

In honor of Batman‘s 75th Anniversary we continue to look back at the more memorable moments of the 1966 Batman TV-series starring Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin.”The Joker Goes to School” and “He Meets His Match, the Grisly Ghoul” are two of the goofier paired episodes in the show’s three seasons. The Joker returns to trouble Gotham City once more, this time targeting the students of Woodrow Wilson High School. His plans involve not only recruiting high school students for his new gang the Bad Pennies but also rigging milk vending machines to give free money to students in an attempt to corrupt them into a life of crime (as, of course, one does in 60s Gotham City).
