When others involved in the game start turning up dead as well, Holmes and Watson agree to work together to piece together a motive for the crimes which are being committed a dedicated killer obsessed with hunting down an anonymous math blogger who is threatening the man’s livelihood.

The latest episode of Elementary, while taking its name and set-up from a Sir Arthur Conan Doyle story, offers a mystery involving the death of a toy manufacturer (whose popular toy killed a handful of children) as well as the murder of the man’s attorney, offers several false leads and red herrings for both Holmes and Watson as each of the former partners takes one of the victims for themselves, later coming together when the motive proves too elusive for either to solve on their own.
