While suffering from a fever Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) agrees to help the police in their investigation of the brutal murder of a college professor with a secret gambling addiction. With Detective Bell’s (Jon Michael Hill) help, Holmes discovers the underground Chinese gambling parlor where the man was killed as well as video footage of their robber and murderer (Lord Jamar), but that’s only the  beginning of the story as he was hired to shoot the victim in both eyes by someone who worked with him.

Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) is called in to investigate a bombing at a web design company that left two people dead and several others injured. Although the police are able to track the phone used to set off the explosion it turns out to be a dead end when the all they find at the other end of the line is a plumber (Adam Mucci) who mistakenly misdialed while trying to get in touch with his favorite deli. A little more investigating leads Holmes to discover the bomb was made, and set in place, more than four years ago, silently waiting for a call that never came.

While Holmes wants to talk with the man (Keith Szarabajka) Gregson put in jail 13 years ago, Gregson is reluctant and would rather pursue other avenues of the investigation including the latest victims’ contractor (Brian Tarantina) who was keeping  a woman (Evgeniya Radilova) chained in his basement and recently threatened the couple after they complained about his work.

That’s only half the story as Holmes’ further investigation reveals the plane itself was sabotaged as well, meaning all three passengers and the pilot were killed.

Barricading Watson (Lucy Liu) and himself in the dead man’s hospital room Holmes comes up with a single clue which leads the pair in search of the victim’s neighbor (Rozi Baker) and the last person to see the man alive.
