Following a murder in the hospital, evidence leads both Yoon E-na (Kim Da-mi) and Han-saem (Son Suk-ku) separately to Hwang In-chan (Roh Jae-won) who is responsible for the artwork on the puzzle pieces but is not their killer. However, his connection to the artwork leads to the confirmation of the killer’s identity as more and more information is uncovered explaining the motivations for the murders and how everything traces back to the Seojin Diner, where Yang Jung-Ho (Kim Sung-Kyun) worked before becoming a police officer, located in the Shindonga Market which was destroyed in the name of progress to make way for the One City.

In an episode that offers the return of Loretta (Meryl Streep), who returns under sad circumstances of her apartment burning down, the investigation turns towards the widows of the two murder victims when Oliver (Martin Short), Charles (Steve Martin), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) discover a potentially suspicious link between the pair. Loretta and Oliver’s doesn’t turn up a killer, but their little undercover mission does allow Oliver to share a bit of his childhood with Loretta and reconsider the possibility of leaving the Arconia. While Mabel is disheartened by the news, she does gets a chance to mend fences with Althea (Beanie Feldstein) putting past misunderstandings to rest.

Murder in a Small Town – Acts of Murder

The Second Season of Murder in a Small Town introduces some season-long conflicts for Karl (Rossif Sutherland) and Cassandra (Kristin Kreuk) to deal with following her election to the town council with the mayor (Marcia Gay Harden) attempting to pit the pair against each other suggesting the town’s limited resources can’t handle an increase in both police funding and the arts center central to Cassandra’s campaign platform. While the pair don’t fall for the trap, it’s easy to see how this conflict could continue to linger (as well as a B-story involving the teenager of one of Karl’s officers acting out).

Alfred Hitchcock‘s 1938 thriller follows English tourist Iris Henderson (Margaret Lockwood), one of several tralevers temporarily stranded in Bandrika, home via train. Priot to boarding the train Iris recieves a head injury but is looked after by an eldery English woman who she befriended the previous night. However, after the effects of her head injury subside she is unable to find Mrs. Froy (May Whitty) or anyone onboard the train who remembers seeing her. Convinced something odd is going on, and finding no other help avaiable, she accepts the help of the obnoxious Gilbert Redman (Michael Redgrave) who she had a run-in at the hotel.

Having identified that the One City apatment building is what ties all the serial killer’s victims togeter, Yoon E-na (Kim Da-mi) and Han-saem (Son Suk-ku) begin to pull on that thread which will eventually lead to the inciting incident and motive for murder. E-na also identifies that each piece of the puzzle seems to suggest the crimes for which each of the victims was killed, which also makes her question how well she truly knew her uncle. While it will takes some time for all of this to come into focus, the apartment’s discovery is the first big clue for the pair to move their investigation forward.
