A double-homicide in a rural county leads to Will (Ramón Rodríguez) and Faith (Iantha Richardson) butting heads with the local Sheriff (Yul Vazquez) and the discovery that one of the victims was a member of a domestic terrorist cell who was attempting to prevent the group’s next attack. It’s also an episode for bombshells as the aftermath of Angie’s (Erika Christensen) drunken night leads to Seth (Scott Foley) learning about Angie’s tumble off the wagon and both discovering she’s pregnant. As for Will, he gets a shot in the gut as well when a blood test confirms the territorial Sheriff Caleb Broussard is his biological father.

“Push, Jump, Fall” offers two new cases. Will (Ramón Rodríguez) and Faith (Iantha Richardson) investigate a murder and theft of a horse at a black rodeo that initially points to a problematic missing rider (Yolonda Ross), however there’s something much bigger going on involving someone using the animals of the rodeo as drug mules. Angie (Erika Christensen) and Ormewood (Jake McLaughlin) look into a man’s fall that might have been accidental or suicide. Not able to deal with her own grief, and carrying around her mother’s ashes in a cardboard box, Angie instead puts her energy into helping Ormewood reaching out to Josiah (Kenneth Mosley) and Bon Bon (Jonny Beauchamp) to help her partner gets his affairs in order prior to his surgery.

The First Season finale is a turning point for NCIS: Origins but not for the main story involving a an ambitious MP (Claire Berger) attempting to prove Gibbs (Austin Stowell) killed Pedro Hernandez. We plenty of Gibbs, Franks (Kyle Schmid), Lala (Mariel Molino), and even Randy (Caleb Foote) strategizing how to keep Gibbs out of jail. Eventually Lala puts her own career on the line to keep Gibbs out of danger (and also lays a path for Mace‘s introduction int NIS). While also teasing a potential full-blown love affair between Gibbs and Lala, the episode teases us with a young girl and her dog which will change the fates of both characters in the season’s tragic closing scene.

With Will (Ramón Rodríguez) and Angie (Erika Christensen) both busy with their separate stories, Faith (Iantha Richardson) and Ormewood (Jake McLaughlin) travel to an island resort to investigate a murder Evelyn (LisaGay Hamilton) and Amanda (Sonja Sohn) discover while on vacation. Things take a turn with the discovery of a second when Mandy’s first romp (Jason Alan Carvell) in an awfully long time turns out to have a stash of diamonds, just like those stolen. However, the real murderer (Lacy Hartselle) is a thief hiding in plain sight. The episode makes the most out of the locale adding some stylish transitions which are also used to connect to both of the B-stories.
