The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Usagi Yojimbo: Saturday Morning Adventures One-shot involves the Turtles traveling to Usagi‘s home dimension after Donatello discovers a way to send the rabbit ronin home. What they expect to be a couple of fun days of Usagi showing of his home to Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo, however, soon becomes a battle against the shadow warriors of Lord Desmodus, a despot looking to increase his power and return to conquer his home dimension.

The third issue of Usagi Yojimbo: The Crow shows off the intellect and ruthlessness of Jimmu and his army who successfully take down a convoy outside of town. Only two members of the group, jumping off a cliff, manage to survive. As for Yukichi, his situation doesn’t change as he remains a prisoner of the bounty hunters (although his location is learned by the young boy who isn’t above trading that information for profit, especially given how the bounty hunters treated him).

We don’t get all that much of Miyamoto Usagi in Usagi Yojimbo: The Crow #2 as the rabbit ronin is talked into waiting for Yukichi‘s return by Gen and Stray Dog who both believe the hotheaded young warrior will return after he cools off. That means the bulk of the issues stays with Yukichi who does realize his overreaction, but before he can return he is jumped by a number of a mercenaries after the bounty related to those he and Usagi ran into on their way to town. Although he fights them off for a bit, the interference by a local kid quickly ends the battle.

Usagi Yojimbo: Ice and Snow #5

Wrapping up the five-issue mini-series, Usagi Yojimbo: Ice and Snow #5 offers this single-issue epilogue in which weary Miyamoto Usagi and Yukichi, and later some of the bandits who worked for Jei, find shelter in an isolated village. At first it appears the trouble the ronin may have to deal with is the bandits who swear they have changed their ways, but plan to stick around to rob the village after the ronin leave the area. However, the real trouble lies elsewhere.
