Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) discovers the latest name of his hit list (T.J. Ramini) has framed an innocent man (Lane Edwards) for the murder of his wife. To prove the man’s innocence the vigilante will need the help of a plucky young lawyer… who just happens to be his still pretty pissed off ex-girlfriend (Katie Cassidy).

The fallout of revealing his secret to save Diggle’s (David Ramsey) life, and discovering his bodyguard liked him better when he thought Oliver was ditching him for nights of debauchery, leads to Oliver getting a new bodyguard (William C. Vaughan) whom he quickly ditches to try to convince Diggle once again to help him in his new chosen profession. After the masked vigilante makes an ominous appearance in Laurel’s apartment, earning him another potential ally, Ollie’s ex starts digging into the case before the man is put to death for a crime he didn’t commit even if that means facing off against her father (Paul Blackthorne) and putting her own life in danger.

Meanwhile back at Arrow Manor, unsatisfied with Moira’s (Susanna Thompson) explanation for $2.6 million of Queen Industries’ missing money, Walter (Colin Salmon) enlists the help of computer expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) to discreetly look into the matter. What she discovers is a secret company named Tempest with only a single asset on the books, a single warehouse in Starling City which houses anything but what Walter was expecting to find.

The episode of the week works well-enough, discounting some extremely clunky dialogue along the way (mostly from Cassidy). However, it’s in the episode’s final five-minutes that things begin to pick up as Walter finds the boat from Olivier’s accident, Oliver gets a partner in his war on crime and is arrested by Laurel’s father on suspicion of being the city’s new vigilante. We also get our first appearance of John Barrowman as a mysterious associate of Moira’s and likely a new adversary for our hero.
