The Second Season of Batman: Caped Crusader opens with an incarcerated Rupert Thorne (Cedric Yarbrough) awaiting trial while both Batman (Hamish Linklater) and Thorne’s minions led by Edward Nygma all hunt for the crime boss’ accountant (JP Karliak), now in police custody, with the facts that could seal his fate. The action-packed premiere will also tease us with several new characters including a familiar mad scientist (James Urbaniak) and hat-obsessed pro-Thorne reporter Hattie Tech (Laraine Newman).
Continuing plotlines from the First Season, Jim Gordon (Eric Morgan Stuart) struggles to not over-rely on Batman while focusing on finding the leak in his department, Montoya (Michelle C. Bonilla) finds herself with an unexpected new partner, and Barbara Gordon (Krystal Joy Brown) is put in the middle of wanting to keep her father safe but not betray his trust to our intrepid Caped Crusader. All that and a tease of a major villain about to make his move.
