Daredevil #6For the first time since Matt Murdock reset reality to hide his dual identity, both the lawyer and Daredevil have run-ins with Elektra. Murdock’s evening with his ex in a dive bar goes far better than the vigilante’s as Elektra proceeds to hold nothing back while beating Daredevil bloody (unaware who is under the mask).

Daredevil #6 showcases the positives and negatives of allowing Marvel Comics to reset Matt Murdock’s past. On one hand the issue provides the kind of throwdown between Daredevil and Elektra we wouldn’t have gotten before such a change. On the other hand such a move messes the waters of Daredevil’s past with one of key characters in it (he’s not even sure just what version of events Elektra remembers of her time with what she now believes are two separate individuals).

With Reddington (James Spader) missing in action delivering the news of Lizzie’s death to her grandfather (Brian Dennehy) personally, and taking the opportunity to continue to wallow in his grief, Aram (Amir Arison) uncovers the group’s next target in an energy consultant (Kelly AuCoin). Saving the man’s life from a hit squad, the task force runs into an old friend in Nez Rowan (Tawny Cypress) who someone high in the United States Government is protecting.

Justice League vs. Teen TitansThe latest home video release further exploring the characters and world introduced in Son of Batman sends the uncompromising Damian Wayne (Stuart Allan) to the Teen Titans in hopes that Robin may be able to learn teamwork and trust. Borrowing a little from Damien’s time with the Teen Titans prior to the New 52 reboot, writers Bryan Q. Miller and Alan Burnett choose to give their spin on a more classic Trigon (Jon Bernthal) story. As with the previous movies, the story lacks the Robin/Red Robin rivalry from the comics, but certainly entertains.

With both heroes and villains being possessed by a demon threatening to break into their world, Raven (Taissa Farmiga) reveals the truth about herself and her father to her teammates Beast Boy (Brandon Soo Hoo), Blue Beetle (Jake T. Austin), and Starfire (Kari Wahlgren). When Raven is captured and multiple members of the Justice League are possessed by Trigon it falls on Robin and the Teen Titans to save the day.
