Delicious in Dungeon - Hot Pot/Tart

Featuring strong Dungeons & Dragons vibes, Delicious in Dungeon is an odd idea of giving us the adventures of a party that focuses at least as much on their travels through a dungeon as the various meals they make out of the creatures they kill. There are plenty of in-jokes for fans of D&D sprinkled throughout the first episode which introduces us to the remnants of a party that returns to a dungeon to rescue one of their members who is slowly being digested in the belly of a Red Dragon. Although unusual, it works.

Most of the issue is with the characters struggling to move on after Marc’s death, the Midnight Mission holding shiva for their fallen friend (with a few Marvel heroes stepping by to pay their respects) and then getting back to work.

Upon discovering the skeleton of his friend and mentor Gyatso (Sab Shimono), Aang unintentionally enters his Avatar state and alerts the world to his return. The episode is also notable for introducing the winged lemur Momo who joins the group on their travels and for the subplot in which Prince Zuko (Dante Basco) defeats Commander Zhao (Jason Isaacs) in a contest that proves his skill and alludes to how the prince received his scar.
