While Red Sonja has been resting and healing with the nuns in Brythunia, monsters have ravaged the land, and the resurrected Kulan Gath has put together a force to conquer and grow his power. Leaving her refuge to deal with the recent rise of attacks, Sonja comes across a woman in need of aid to save her 8 year-old sister from being sacrificed to appease the Tsjoko and its monstrous master. Successfully, but not victorious, in her efforts, the aftermath will clue Sonja into what she’s now dealing with and the consequences of her recent actions.

Spider-Man - Night of the Lizard

Spidey Sunday takes us back to the 90s and Spider-Man‘s (Christopher Daniel Barnes) first run-in with the Lizard (Joseph Campanella). Forgoing any unnecessary origin story, the 90s Spider-Man series kicked off with Spidey already firmly established as a hero in New York. The episode plays things close to the vest using the comic blueprint for the characters to build from without making too many obvious changes. Many of the classic character beats can already be found here with Peter always struggling to make ends meet earning what he can by selling photos to J. Jonah Jameson (Edward Asner) and The Daily Bugle, balancing his life as both Peter and Spider-Man, and always feeling guilty about not being able to do more for Aunt May (Linda Gary).

Delicious in Dungeon - Living Armor

Living Armor would see an odd choice for a group of adventures who enjoying eating their kills in the dungeon but the walking  suits of armor are the creature of the episode as Laios (Damien C. Haas) discovers the armor isn’t animated by magic, as everyone assumes, but by creatures living inside. While the others keep the various armor busy, Laios defeats the leader learning the secret of the creatures and discovering yet another delicacy one can only find in the dungeon. “Living Armor” also fills in a bit of the knight’s backstory.

Masters of the Universe: Revolution - Even for Kings

Spinning out of the events of Masters of the Universe: Revelation, the opening episode of Masters of the Universe: Revolution kicks off with a fan-friendly opening battle sequence featuring He-Man (Chris Wood) and several recognizable characters in Subternia fighting to free the souls of fallen friends from Scare Glow (Tony Todd) whose design I still find unfortunately too similar to one of, if not the, most recognizable characters of the franchise. Honestly, there’s not much reason for the likes of Snout Spout, Ram Man, and Buzz Off to be included here other than a bit of fan service for those who collected those figures, but it does deliver a big battle to kick off the new series.
