iZombie - Heaven Just Got a Little Bit Smoother TV review

Picking up 2.8 minutes after the Second Season finale, the main focus of “Heaven Just Got a Little Bit Smoother” is to cover up what happened at Max Rager and have the characters deal with the new status quo of knowing there’s a new player in town in the private military company full of zombies. There’s no murder of the week to solve here, as the show deals with the fallout of last season and sets up major arcs for this year. For Ravi (Rahul Kohli) this means working on a new cure for the unintended side-effects of his old cure. For Blaine (David Anders) this means beginning to act a bit more like his old self, while still be not quite sure who that was. For Major (Robert Buckley), that means struggling to live in a world where everyone sees him as the Chaos Killer.

iZombie - Dead Beat / Salivation Army

iZombie closes out its Second Season with a two-part finale that wraps up several ongoing storylines while introducing important new players for when the show returns next year (and getting off one final Rob Thomas joke before the curtain falls). With Major (Robert Buckley) arrested as the Chaos Killer and both Liv (Rose McIver) and Ravi (Rahul Kohli) temporarily suspended from the morgue, things aren’t looking good for Team Zombie. Even if Bozzio’s (Jessica Harmon) case is built completely on circumstantial evidence, Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) is finally able to tie Major to the Meat Cute massacre leaving Liv no choice but to come clean to the detective about zombies before the jailed (and brain-craving) Major reveals the existence of the creatures to the entire population of the local prison.

iZombie - Pour Some Sugar, Zombie

“Pour Some Sugar, Zombie” proves to be a major turning point for several characters. Second, Ravi (Rahul Kohli) makes a terrifying discovery about his roommate which will have major consequences (pun intended) for everyone involved. Third, Gilda (Leanne Lapp) begins her life as a zombie only to be captured. And last, but certainly not least, the new zombie cure return Blaine (David Anders) to human but not without some rather important side-effects.
