While the Julian Randol (Richard Harmon) trial turns into a three-ring circus which both Sonya (Lexa Doig) and Travis (Roger R. Cross) are manipulating from the shadows, Kiera (Rachel Nichols) enlists the help of Agent Gardiner (Nicholas Lea) to track down who stole the remains of her old partner (Karin Konoval) from her grave along with the bodies of two members of Liber8 from the police morgue. When Alec’s mother (Janet Kidder) perjures herself to try and protect Julian, Alec must decide whether to lie to protect his mother and help a murderer go free or tell the truth and risk being the cause of his mother being sent to jail.

Kiera‘s (Rachel Nichols) life gets even more complicated when Carlos (Victor Webster) begins an investigation into the case of a serial killer (Paul Jarrett) whose murders continued up until 2018 and were still unsolved in 2077. Even with remembering only vague aspects of the case she studied from the future, Kiera has no explanation for the incredibly accurate guesses which leads to the arrest of the killer and the rescue of his latest intended victim (Kimberly Sustad).

Cross) faction of Liber8 continuing to make inroads uniting the gangs, and Inspector Dillon (Brian Markinson) being replaced by a woman (Catherine Lough Haggquist) who like Agent Gardiner (Nicholas Lea) is far less willing to accept her murky cover story of working for a shadowy government agency, Kiera‘s (Rachel Nichols) stress level kicks into overdrive which triggers a CMR psychological program (Alessandro Juliani) to determine her psychological fitness. If the program has the ability to decide if the memories causing her emotional stress need to purged in order for her to continue doing her job.

When a drug from her future begins showing up in 2013, Kiera (Rachel Nichols) thinks back to her sister Hannah’s (Max Chadburn) addiction and enlists the help of Alec (Erik Knudsen) to get it off the streets before the highly addictive compound catches on to a world that’s not ready for it. Despite Kiera’s warnings of the dangers of “Flash,” Alec decides to experiment with the drug’s in an attempt to find answers about his father. Kiera and Carlos (Victor Webster) also have to deal with a gang war between the Coalition Kings and the Syndicate caused by Liber8’s civil war between Sonya (Lexa Doig) and Travis (Roger R. Cross).
