After stealing Taurus Bulba‘s ship and setting off to find  King Midas’ enchanted gauntlet, needs a little help in finding the resting place of the gauntlet: Agony Island. Disguising himself as Darkwing Duck, the villain attempts to trick Morgana into helping him with the location. The witch easily sees through his ruse and takes some delight in punishing him before deciding to give him what he wants offering a warning about the dangers of the island and the limitations of the gauntlet which the villain completely ignores.

The search for Launchpad‘s stolen compass hits a snag with Darkwing Duck and Gosalyn discover the sidekick can’t fly without one, and doesn’t seem willing to use a substitute. Gosalyn’s solution to the problem is to enlist the help of another hero, much to her father’s dismay, leading to a team-up with Gizmoduck. Darkwing Duck #8 is a fun middle issue to a larger tale fueled by the heroes’ inability to get along.
