Hawaii Five-0 - Olelo Ho'Opa'I Make

Chin-Ho (Daniel Dae Kim) is kidnapped in the middle of the night while the rest of the Five-0 Task Force believes he has taken a few days off to deal with the death of his wife. Once they learn the truth, McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) and his team search frantically to find him not realizing an old enemy has smuggled him into prison amongst all the criminals he helped put away including former Detective Kaleo (Jason Scott Lee). Ridiculous? In the extreme, but it certainly provides the setting for one of the show’s more unusual episodes.

Chin’s life is saved by the timely intervention of Sang Min (Will Yun Lee) who agrees to help keep him alive and create a big enough ruckus to bring the cavalry. Things don’t go quite according to plan when Sang Min’s momentary distraction starts a full-scale prion riot. Tracking down evidence left at the scene makes McGarett call in Catherine (Michelle Borth) to help search the island video feeds for traces of Paul Delano (Daniel Baldwin) who is after revenge for the death of his younger brother Frank (William Baldwin).

After discovering where Delano has stuck their friend, McGarrett, Danny (Scott Caan), and Kono (Grace Park) make their own way into the prison over the warden’s objections with a little help from Kamekona’s (Taylor Wily) new helicopter. The team rescues the wounded Chin and an infirmary worker (Lindsay Price) who tried to help him, but amidst the chaos Sang Min makes his own escape out of the prison.

In the episode’s B-story Kono’s trust in Adam Noshimmuri (Ian Anthony Dale) is tested when she becomes curious about a secretive phone call he lover is reluctant to talk about. Fong (Brian Yang) isn’t able to trace the call further than an anonymous burner, but he does give Kono the tech she needs to clone Adam’s phone and get her own answers. The team is able to save Chin-Ho and take down Delano, but we’ll have to wait to see what answers may lie on Adam’s phone as well as if Chin may have found himself a new recurring lady friend.
