Throwback Tuesday takes us back to the tale of three beautiful former police officers turned private detectives working for a faceless boss known as Charlie. The Angels are sent in undercover to investigate a murder at a resort. Kris (Cheryl Ladd) and Kelly (Jaclyn Smith step in to replace two employees who quit while Sabrina (Kate Jackson) uses her old reliable identity as a journalist after a story. While Kris and Kelly are attacked and have their lives threatened, Sabrina falls hard for another guest (Peter Haskell) which proves problematic when Kris and Kelly uncover evidence linking him to the victim, and a missing $2 million, making him the prime suspect in the murder.

When an old friend (Fawne Harriman) of Sabrina (Kate Jackson) reaches out for help, the Angels set out to find who is harassing the stewardess. Kris (Cheryl Ladd) and Kelly (Jaclyn Smith) go undercover as new trainees while Sabrina plays herself, just an old friend in town for a few days. Despite the skill we’ve seen up until this point, the Angels miss some vital clues about the value of the experimental auto-pilot system the airline is launching with their training flight. It’s almost too late before they learn one of the pilots is attempting to steal the plane with the unwitting help of Sabrina’s friend.

When the organizer of the Miss Chrysanthemum Beauty Pageant reaches out for help after several of the contestants have been scared off, Kris (Cheryl Ladd) and Kelly (Jaclyn Smith) go undercover as new contestants with Sabrina (Kate Jackson) and Bosley (David Doyle) backing them up as reporters covering the event. What Sabrina discovers, while getting herself captured, is the attacks on contestants and the kidnapping and bribing of judges are all part of a half-assed plan by a pair of henchmen (Burton Gilliam and Richard Kelton) attempting to get the daughter (Doney Oatman) of their boss the title.
