The Pretender - Mirage

“Mirage” takes Jarod (Michael T. Weiss) to skydiving school where he becomes the newest instructor and learns about ice cream for the first time. While investigating the apparently accidental death of one partner’s of the company, in an attmept to bring some relief and justice to the man’s widow and unborn child, Jarod takes a hard look at the school’s other partner (Kate Hodge) who took advantage of the man’s yearly survival trip by poisoning the skydiver’s canteen with a psychotropic that led directly to his lengthy and confused demise.

The Pretender - Bomb Squad

After spending time working for a fireworks maker in Louisiana, Jarod (Michael T. Weiss) puts his new skills to use by working on a bomb squad in Detroit hoping to unmask a serial bomber whose victims include a photographer (Jennifer Tighe) blinded in one of the blasts. Jarod does double-duty working as the traumatized young woman’s doctor helping her work through her loss and find a clue to the identity of the bomber (Daniel Roebuck), a member of the bomb squad who decides to frame a patsy for his crimes.

The Pretender - The Paper Clock

Jarod (Michael T. Weiss) becomes a junior associate in a big law firm to save a wrongly convicted mentally-deficient man (Christian J. Meoli) on his last attempt at an appeal for the murder of a woman in his apartment building. A little digging by Jarod discovers that the head of the firm (Lawrence Pressman) purposely botched the defense to hide the fact that his high priced client (Jon Bruno), who was having an affair with the victim, was actually responsible for the murder.

The Pretender - Not Even a Mouse

“Not Even a Mouse” gives Jarod his first Christmas outside The Centre as he assumes the role of a coroner to investigate the death of a homeless man known as “Christmas George” who was a beloved hero to local orphans every year before he died due to complications after an unsolved hit-and-run. Making use of one of his colleagues’ (Kimiko Gelman) love of Puffer Fish, Jarod unmasks the murderer (Wendel Meldrum) and gives the doctor a taste of her own medicine immobilizing her and prepare her body in a death-like trance to be scheduled for autopsy (much like she did with George).

While discovering that one of the missing man’s colleagues (Jon Polito) was working off the books on mutating a deadly level-4 virus into a level-5, Jarod learns the truth of what happened to the missing husband and father.
