A friend (Scott Colomby) from Kelly‘s (Jaclyn Smith) past, gone AWOL in search of his missing girlfriend (Sunny Johnson), puts the Angels on a case involving black market babies. Kelly goes in undercover as a pregnant woman looking to sell her baby after its birth. Sabrina (Kate Jackson) and Bosley (David Doyle) pose as an entitled rich couple willing to pay whatever price is necessary to procure the baby of their choice. And in a separate thread, Kris (Cheryl Ladd) tackles a different end of the operation finding herself propositioned to giving birth to the scam’s big commodity.

The pair keep getting thrown together over the course of the episode to recover the package and uncover the identity of the leak within the Agency which is leading to several agents being killed. Part spy story, part odd couple pairing, and part farce, the show’s first episode sets the tone for the series.

While on the hunt for a missing woman, the Angels investigate the Celestial Research Foundation which promises their members contact with aliens in “Unidentified Flying Angels.” The scam is run by a con man (Ross Martin) with the help of a disgraced astronaut (Dennis Cole) to help give the company some legitimacy. While Kelly (Jaclyn Smith) strikes up a relationship with the astronaut under the guise of flying lessons, Kris (Cheryl Ladd and Bosley (David Doyle) become the group’s newest members, and Sabrina (Kate Jackson) plays the unusual role of a private detective who gets caught twice by the goons (once on purpose and once where she’ll need Kris’ help to escape).

The Angels are sent in undercover to investigate a murder at a resort. Kris (Cheryl Ladd) and Kelly (Jaclyn Smith step in to replace two employees who quit while Sabrina (Kate Jackson) uses her old reliable identity as a journalist after a story. While Kris and Kelly are attacked and have their lives threatened, Sabrina falls hard for another guest (Peter Haskell) which proves problematic when Kris and Kelly uncover evidence linking him to the victim, and a missing $2 million, making him the prime suspect in the murder.
