Pretty Little Liars - Burn This

As Hanna‘s (Ashley Benson) bridal shower arrives the new A turns up the heat, on one Liar especially. Unwilling to tell the truth about the campaign leak, Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) takes full responsibility leading to him not only losing his job but getting cold cocked by his former best friend. While Spencer (Troian Bellisario) stands up for her now boyfriend to everyone from her old beau to her father, the situation with Yvonne offers the opportunity for an emotional flashback to a pregnancy scare in college which appears to have been the beginning of the end of Spoby.

Although Aria (Lucy Hale) takes the brunt of A’s latest attack, and gets grilled by Linda Tanner (Roma Maffia), she also gets good news as her boss approves Ezra‘s (Ian Harding) idea of having Aria co-wrote his new book. While the other Liars appear to be moving further away from their old romances it looks like there’s still hope for Ezria, especially as the show hasn’t done much of anything to sell us on Liam (Roberto Aguire) as a longterm boyfriend for Miss Montgomery.

The physical attack on Aria, whether or not she was actually the intended target, certainly steps up the new A’s game past basic blackmail and threats. While her friends all deal with their own drama, Emily (Shay Mitchell) is left to her own devices to do some sleuthing. Although searching for the car which nearly ran her over leads to a dead end, she does make the discovery that Mona (Janel Parrish) might know far more about the night than any of the Liars suspected.
