Pretty Little Liars - Out, Damned Spot

With Aria (Lucy Hale) obsessed with finding out what Mike (Cody Allen Christian) is up to, she and two of the other Liars will eventually uncover a secret meeting between Aria’s brother and Alison‘s (Sasha Pieterse) patsy Cyrus Petrillo (Jake Weary) raising even more questions as to whose side Mike is on. The fact that he delivered vials of blood from Aria, Spencer, and Hanna (Ashley Benson) which could be used to frame them for having a hand in Mona‘s (Janel Parrish) definitely seems to suggest that Mike is now working for A (who we see begin to make use of the blood in the episode’s closing scene).

On the week of Valentine’s Day romance continues to be tricky for almost everyone in Rosewood. Emily‘s (Shay Mitchell) new romance hits a snag when she discovers a complication about Talia‘s (Miranda Rae Mayo) relationship status which takes some effort to explain. Aria and Spencer both give their boyfriends space due to recent events. As Aria spends some time with a hunky senior (Brandon W. Jones) she stole answers off in math class Spencer seizes the opportunity to spend time with Jonny (Will Bradley) which continues to complicate her feelings towards the college dropout, Toby (Keegan Allen), and her own college plans.

Although the police haven’t begun looking at her as Alison’s likely accomplice in Mona’s murder just yet, Hanna still has her own drama to deal when after discovering her college plans may have to be put on hold due to money issues. Not able to help Aria with her recent troubles while giving her space, Ezra (Ian Harding is able to offer Hanna a much-needed pep talk. Now if he could only find a way to channel that insight back to his girlfriend before she and the rest of the Liars end up sharing adjoining jail cells with Alison.
