The Final Prophecy by Greg Keyes

Luke and Jacen negotiate with Zenoma Sekot,  a Yuuzhan Vong shaper makes the discovery that planet is a seed of the Vong homeworld Yuuzhan’tar, and Wedge Antilles and the fleet are cut off deep in Vong space.

The Unifying Force by James Luceno

In the final novel of the series the short-lived success of the Galactic Alliance seems to be over as the Vong once again push deeper into the galaxy and terraform more worlds in thier image, the oppressed lower caste of the Vong begin an uprising, Zenoma Sekot returns from hiding, and the final battle is fought as the Alliance attempts to retake Coruscant and end the war.

The Dark Nest Trilogy by Troy Denning

The three books bridge the gap between The New Jedi Order and Legacy of the Force series and center around a hive-minded bug-like race intent on conquering the galaxy.  In The Joiner King a group of young Jedi including Jaina Solo has come under the influence of the mysterious bug-like Killiks who expanding into Chiss space under the control of an old friend now Raynar Thul, now known simply as UnuThul.  The Unseen Queen finds the nest under attack from a mysterious unseen adversary, the Dark Nest; unable to comprehend the true threat the Killiks blame the Jedi.  In the final book The Swarm War Jaina and Zekk become Joiners of the Killiks as Luke, Mara, Leia, and Jacen go in search of the Dark Nest and the Dark Jedi Alema Rar and Lomi Plo who are controlling them to start a war with the Chiss.
