Throwback Tuesday takes us back to a mystery involving the Three Investigators whose mantra of “We Investigate Everything” lead them to solving strange and unusual mysteries. One of the most unusual items ever to find its way into the Jones Salvage Yard was the trunk of the magician once known as the Great Gulliver purchased by Jupiter Jones at auction for a single dollar which included a talking skull and clues to stolen treasure.
Immediately after purchasing the trunk multiple individuals attempt to buy and then steal it from the intrepid First Investigator which of course only makes him curious about its history and its contents and the magician’s prize possession he used in his act, a skull which would talk. And, also hidden in the trunk, may be a clue to the unrecovered money from a bank heist years before. Eventually Jupiter, Pete, and Bob will solve both mysteries, recovering the money before it is lost or taken by the thieves and discovering just how the skull was made to talk as well as what really happened to its former owner.
