Green Lantern: The Animated Series - Prisoner of Sinestro

Reunited with Razer (Jason Spisak) and searching for the Anti-Monitor and answers about the legion of Manhunters under his control, Hal Jordan (Josh Keaton), Kilowog (Kevin Michael Richardson), and Aya (Grey DeLisle) receive an urgent transmission from Sinestro (Ron Perlman) who is trapped aboard a Spider Guild transport after capturing one of the most wanted assassins in the universe who the Guild are willing to destroy the entire ship rather than let escape.

After arriving on the ship with his prisoner a confused Sinestro attacks his fellow Lanterns forcing Jordan to strip his friend of his ring and put him in the science cell with the prisoner until they get some answers. When Razer and later Jordan begin acting odd as well things go from bad to worse as they discover their prisoner has the ability to jump from person to person, controlling one host’s mind at a time.

After escaping the science cell, Sinestro puts the entire crew through a deadly test to find whose mind the alien is controlling and force him back into his own body. Although happy to be reunited his old friend, and see no one is permanently damaged from the alien prisoner’s various attacks, Jordan is troubled the final sequence of events in which their prisoner is “accidentally” killed when Sinestro isn’t quick enough to re-pressurize the science cell. It will be interesting to see if their is lasting effect to Jordan’s view of the Green Lantern of Sector 1417 as I hope we’ll be seeing far more of Sinestro as the series continues.
